Why do I feel so compelled to share?
It’s not like me to always care
Someone changed me so long ago
What it was then, I did not know?
Too young was I, for my Audrey to leave
But she needed you too, in her time of need
You craved as I, both sport and song
I was getting to know you, all along
Now that you’re gone, I’m sitting here
Tears in my eyes, is it death I fear?
For the one who loved my sister so dear
Has left for the Lord, no longer here
That laugh and look that you freely shared
I’ve encountered not such a welcoming beard
Yes, laugh and look are what I remember most
Please share a song with your heavenly host
And talk of sport, Lord lend an ear
Our God shall welcome that laugh and beard
Jon, we love you and will forever remember you
From your brother-in-law Adrian, wife Theresa and sons
Aaron and Adam
