SYMONDS, Theodore “Ted”
Passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82. Adopted son to the late Kathleen and Ernest E. Symonds. Beloved husband of Anne. Cherished father of Michael (Wendy), Stephanie Ramey (Chris) and Mark (Edina). Treasured grandfather (Nano) to Claire, Adrian, Julian, Simon, Oliver and Toby. Loving brother to Patricia (Pat) Maheux (late Clifford). Brother-in-law to Eileen George (late Harry), Con Foran (Linda), Frank Foran (Janice), Cathy Drennan (Gordon), Terry Foran, Sherry Foran, the late Janice Bowland (Gerry), Donna Auger, Rosemary Foran (Jack Martin), Mary Ellen Foran (Gerald Jefferson), Margaret Foran (Rick Govers), Tom Foran (Debbie), the late Kathleen Foran (Mike Purcell), and Betty Jane Higgins (Greg). Loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Ted will also be missed by many dear friends.
Ted taught for the Greater Essex County District School Board for 30 years. He enjoyed volunteering for many organizations including the Riverside Minor Baseball Association and Riverside Floor Hockey. He loved travelling and was a member of the Rum Runners Quester Organization and an avid euchre player and walker. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234 on Friday February 10th, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services to take place the following day on Saturday February 11th at 10:30am in the chapel. In honour of Ted, donations may be made to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or the Acute Stroke Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital.
