Our beloved daughter Amalia joined Anthony in Heaven just a short while after his passing. Soon after, we met Anthony’s mother Gabriela and his sister Angelika and shared our grief around our loved ones resting places in Heavenly Rest. We did not know Anthony or his family before the loss of our children, but are impressed with his achievements, dreams, and good character that his family and friends paid tribute for. We keep Anthony in our prayers and stand together with his mother and sister in these times of terrible losses for all of us. Rest in peace dear Anthony!

Words can’t express the magical energy that Anthony Chifor brought with him wherever he went. He was one of the best people I knew, the the friendliest face at school, and the one who could be counted on to bring joy and laughter to any group. Anthony was not only incredibly driven and intelligent, but a very fun and kind person to be around. He demonstrated his kindness and consideration for others in big and small ways, going out of his way to help others during tough times and bringing levity to any situation, especially with his April Fools pranks. On a personal level, Anthony made highschool a safe and fun space full of memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. It is difficult to digest the loss of such an amazing person but it has been an honour to know him and have been his friend throughout highschool. My deepest condolences to the Chifor family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Chifor Family,
Anthony was a kind, funny, smart, and friendly person that I will always have fond memories of. Anthony and I knew each other since grade 9. We always had a good time together, but it was only until grade 12 that we got to know each other much better. I had the pleasure of going on the Costa Rica trip with Anthony in grade 12. Anthony and I had a lot of great moments together on this trip. But there’s one particularly funny event I would like to share. It was the first day we arrived at the Science Research Center in Costa Rica. The Research Center was located in the middle of the tropical rain forest. Mr. Bottos, our science teacher who organized the trip, gathered us around right after we got off the bus on the grounds of the Research Center. We were standing in front of the forest. Mr Bottos let us know some basic ground rules about staying at the Research Center. One of these rules included not going into the forest unsupervised, especially during the evening. He stressed the importance of this rule given the forest wildlife and since it got dark quickly in the forest. So naturally, Anthony and I decided to go into the forest that day. Just the two of us. As we headed into the forest, Anthony brought out a large bag of pistachios. He kindly offered me some and as we walked and talked throughout the forest we munched on pistachios. As it began to get dark, we decided it was time to walk back. So we started the walk back to the Research Center. Soon we hit a path that had a fork in road. I thought we should go one way to get back and Anthony thought we should go another way. We stood at the fork trying to remember which was the right way back. Then Anthony noticed something - pistachio shells on one side of the fork - the side he thought we should go down. Now, it was obvious which way to take. We laughed on the way back reflecting upon how funny it was that the pistachios were able to point the correct way back. It was kind of like Hansel and Gretel. We safely exited the forest. This memory with Anthony will always remain fond in my heart.
Around the end of grade 12 until around 2nd year of university, Anthony and I used to work out together. We would work out at the Vollmer Center, the Saint Dennis Center, and Anytime Fitness. For the most part, we worked out at Anytime Fitness. We would have a good time in the gym and were always supportive of each other. It was a blast working out with Anthony. We would be serious while working out and would crack jokes and chat in-between sets. We spotted each other for big lifts, where we would ensure the other person was safe while lifting weights, being ready to step in and grab the bar should they need help. I always felt safe with Anthony and he would encourage and help me when I needed it. One day, when we were in the locker room after a workout, I noticed something: Anthony was eating a hard-boiled egg. I found this quite amusing during the time and remembering it today still brings a smile to my face. I saw this happen numerous times throughout our time working out together and it always gave both of us a pleasant chuckle.
I will miss Anthony. “Chief” as we sometimes referred to him in highschool, was a good person and I’m lucky to have been his friend. I will always cherish the time I spent together with Anthony.
With fondness for my friend,
Tejas Pandya

I met Anthony in high school, and I remember how infectious his laugh and his smile were. I remember how easy it was to get along with him, he made everyone feel welcome and included. He was kind, smart, and hilarious. He was a wonderful person, and someone to be very proud of. I will continue to remember his brilliant humor and his liveliness, and forever cherish the brief time I had with him. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Anthony was a dear friend of mine whom I met in grade 6. I am so fortunate to have known someone so kind, smart, and funny. I remember being in grade 7, my father was very ill; Anthony stuck by me that entire year. He was there when I needed a laugh, someone to talk to, or someone just to sit with, not saying anything. Anthony had such a positive impact on my life, and when I found out he was studying medicine, I was so happy because I knew he would do so well and be such a comforting presence for his patients. To Anthony’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will carry Anthony with me wherever I go. He is truly one of the best people I’ve ever met.

Dráha Gabika a Angelika.

Anthony was always the most welcoming and warm person. When I first started highschool I was nervous about finding people who had the same interests as me, and somehow one day we started talking about our shared interests in Harry Potter which skyrocketed into talking about Star Wars, Marvel, etc. Anytime any news about any fandom was released, especially when any Marvel movie came out, we'd text each other our thoughts back and forth after watching said piece of media. Having someone who understood me on that level, and really validated the things I loved was such a reassuring source of comfort through times of uncertainty, and gave me the space to be myself when I wasn't given the same ability to do so with other people. Anthony was always ready to extend help in any situation, and he was there to help out constantly with any school related problems. This carried out throughout not only high school, but university undergraduate days as well. Our messages are full of back and forth pictures of the problems we were trying to solve, and even when I was incredibly frustrated he'd make the situation light and remind me, it truly wasn't that serious. Anthony deserved so much more, and to hear his life was so short is heartbreaking. The world has lost such a light. My condolences and comfort to his loved ones during this time.

Bolesť a smútok nedá sa vyjadriť slovami. Strata sa nedá čítať...iba cítiť. Nášho Anthonyho máme v naších srdciach a modlitbách.

When we were in grade school, I remember Anthony would bring a lunchable for lunch and would yell out, "Kit Kat!" and whoever answered back first would get it. It is always a memory I look back on and it brings a smile to my face. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this extremely difficult time. He will be truly missed.
