So sorry to read of Carla's passing; I read it in the bulletin from San Martino al Tagliamento, her birthplace. I met Carla at "The Pines" where we both went to school. Her calmness and her contagious smile caught my attention right away. Many years later, we met again, via her sister Anna at the Fogolar Furlan, when we discovered that my husband and Carla's families were "paesani"! What a coincidence! Only to find out in later conversations they were distant cousins!!!! Anna was also a classmate of our son-in-law's mother, also named Anna Truant (married Rossi). We had the pleasure of meeting family members a few more times (though Windsor and Parkhill are far apart when you are farming and have young children); when visitors came or on a special occasion at the Fogolar, we met again in person or connected by phone. What a surprise when Renato and Carla came to deliver walnuts... That was really out of the way! Again we had the lovely occasion to meet when cousin Eileen came for a visit from BC. All these memories, thanks, Carla and Renato. Lucio and Alice Facchina (Nee de Gouw)

On behalf of Anita Bressanutti and myself, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Corrado family and all extended cousins in the Windsor area.
I got to meet Carla with my mother on a visit to the Windsor/ London area in 1987. We had such a great time with everyone there and everyone, Carla included, were so welcoming to their extended cugini.
Sincerely,
Carmen Bressanutti

Sending love and hugs from the Primo Scodellaro family. When a loved one transitions the first reaction is deep sadness but ultimately it refreshes our happy memories of times spent together. Carla had a contagious smile and a beautiful light radiating from her soul. Our loss; heaven's gain.

Renato, Silvio, and families--I'm so sad to hear of Carla's passing. I was fortunate to reconnect with all of you, and to stay with Renato and Carla for a couple days when I was there in 2018. She was a gracious loving woman. Her love for her family was so obvious. Sending love, strength, and deep condolences to all of the family from myself and my sister Anita, who I spoke with today. We love you and are thinking of you at this difficult time. xoxoxoxoxo

My sympathy to all who loved Mrs. Carla Corrado. For me , she will ALWAYS be Miss Truant. She taught the Grade 8 class at St. Jude School 1967 -1968. As a 13 year old I was impressed by her impeccable wardrobe , and beautiful jewelry :)
But I owe so much gratitude to "Miss Truant", for bringing in Microscopes for each one of us. She opened our eyes to a tiny world on a slide. This led to my Career as a Med Lab Tech. I did get a chance to tell her, I don't know what I would be doing , if she hadn't brought the Microscopes in !!!
May God welcome her home, and Mother Mary provide a gentle hug.
Rest in Peace... Miss Truant.
