My beautiful Claude wanted so badly to have a poker game - he ordered all the gear and had it here for a 'casino night' for his family and friends on his birthday, Oct 22. He didn't make it. I pray with every fiber of my being that wherever he is now - he is enjoying that game... mb even with my Mom and Dad. Mom often joked that she was going to adopt him. They were my two very best friends in the world for the past 30 years. I miss them so much. I miss my Joseph beyond words.

Dear dear Heather ~
Speaking with you tonight, I could perceive your Claude's presence, hearing him in your words -- an awareness that he is 'there' with you.
Please know that anguish you feel will always be outshone by the blessing of your 'neverending love' for one another.
In lighting this candle, I send, to sweet you, my prayers, and to wonderful Claude, my forever thoughts.
With love ~ Cousin Sherrie

Jean Pierre (Sherrie'husband)

Dear dear Heather ~
As the first child of Yvette -- the eldest sister of your clearly most dearest love, Claude, please know that my heart intensely feels your shattered pain.
God expresses His Love to us through His 'messengers', and as you graciously share with us, here, numerous elements of your life spent with Claude, it is clear that you were chosen to be deeply blessed.
I pray that this deepest anguish that all of the family must now feel be matched by the awareness of the glorious rejoice that Claude is experiencing in the presence of the Creator.
"Life returns to Life", and may Claude's eternity be as blissful as was his time spent here with humanity.
I will always think of you, dear Claude.. the elder of my dear mommy's two beautiful brothers.
~ Cousin Sherrie

I remember a time when Claude was doing some work in moms bathroom at the cabin, and he had taken the mirror off the wall, and when getting up the next day, he went to the bathroom to wash his face, and as he explained when came out, ( I looked into mirror and thought i was gone), LOLOLOL, that was so funny.

My children and I are all remembering Claude with fond memories. He was a huge part of my everyday life while I studied at U of Windsor and always full of fun. Always a story to tell or wisdom to share. When I brought my daughter to visit for the first time he provided some very down to earth experiences for her like her first drink out of a garden hose and he also let her do some mudding with him while he worked on one of his many projects in the house. When my son spent time on a holiday with him every stuffed toy he owned after was named after his Uncle Joe. There was Big Joe, Baby Joe and Weeny Joe just to name a few. Both of my kids speak French so visits with their Uncle Claude meant French practice! They all seemed to enjoy it. Our most recent visit was when Claude and Heather came to help Claire move into residence at UOttawa. It was a long moving day but it was made that much easier with Claude’s many “ Dad jokes” throughout the day. It was a difficult time for Claire but he made it that much easier and got her moved in a little earlier than planned by using the “Dad Net”. She still talks about it and recalls the time fondly.
Claude and I had another connection as well though, we both served with the military. He often talked with me about his experiences and he spoke fondly about “ The Bonnie” or HMCS Bonaventure, the aircraft carrier on which he served. So I will state the Ode of Remembrance for him.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.
Rest easy Claude, rest easy. Your work here is done.
With deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to my sister Heather, to Keith and Jeffery and their families and to Rob and Niki and their families. I also offer my condolences to Claude’s sisters and brothers and their families. My heart breaks for you all. I only wish I could have been there to offer support at this most difficult time.
With love, Lori Walsh Park, Claire Park and Shawn Park.

Today I thought of Claude and smiled. Anyone who ever knew him will understand.
It is impossible to say his name without conjuring up beautiful memories of this funny and lovable guy with a heart of gold.
Though life changes meant we rarely saw each other, the pride of having him as part of our family remained,
the joy of knowing him remained and, most of all, the love for him remained. Rest easy Claude. You were truly one of the best.
To Nik, Rob, Heather, Keith, Jeff, and families, my heartfelt sympathy.
Thank you for being what made Claude's life a happy one.

Uncle Claude always made me feel at home when I went to visit. He was a strong, caring man with a laugh you could feel vibrating through the room. Though I haven't seen him in many years, I never forgot how great he was. Ha, I also remember going with him, my dad, and others to see Ghostbusters II. What a totally random memory!
Niki and Rob, as well as Uncle Claude's many other loved ones, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Claude will remain in our hearts as one of the most patient and kind people ever to be in our lives. He shared all he had and more, if that's possible. In the early days we were so grateful of his care of three people we loved. Later he became one of four people we had come to love as well. After raising two great children in Niki and Rob,he opened his heart to two little boys and gave them a beautiful place to grow and learn. He taught them everything that a "Dad" would and could.
I never tired of telling anyone who would listen about the fairy tale, Heather's meeting of the man who was her soul mate. We will miss him greatly! We love you!

My heart just hurts for you. Claude was a good man, I don’t believe I ever saw him without a smile and a joke, albeit some corny ones and could always laugh at himself. He was kind, generous, able to put “an arse in a cat” (NL expression) and so loved his family, every single one. He made this world a much better place!! Godspeed, Claude, Godspeed..
