Dear Helen, Leslie, Kaylee, and Alexa,
My deepest condolences to each of you at this very difficult time of loss. As a little child I knew Garrie because our families were connected through friendship and baseball. Years later, I would meet Garrie again ~ this time as the kind and gentle Dad to Alexa, who was in my class at the time. As Alexa’s teacher, I remember the deep love and connection Garrie shared with his daughters and wife who each adored him so deeply. Alexa often spoke of her Dad with such joy. The love that shone from your family was a beautifully refreshing sight to see each time you gathered at school together. It was clear Garrie loved you all so much. May the love you shared with him continue to comfort you at this time of loss. May you continue to shine the light of his love into the world in all that you do. Sending love and prayers to each of you,
Susan Wright

I'm heartbroken to hear about the passing of Garrie. Acting in many of Parkwood's plays growing up has always been a highlight for me and it was an honour to be in many of them alongside Mr. Nolan. I have many memories of great conversations with him backstage before performances and during rehearsals. We all had tons of fun together and I'll cherish those memories forever. Garrie truly was a gentle giant, as many have already said. Always incredibly kind and funny. He left a positive mark on my life. Please know that I'm praying for you guys during this difficult time. May God comfort you and be your peace!

I am extremely sad to hear of this wonderful man's passing. I Loved umpiring him, and watching him play ball, and having him next to me as the catcher. Dearest Helen Kaylee and Alexa & grand babies
It is with much sorrow and sympathy to send condolences to your family. I watched you to get married and anyone could see the love you had for each other. You created a beautiful family and I know it was a everlasting love. Anyone could see what a loving family you had. Garry was a tender soul and a loving husband and father. A man with a love for family and people and a heart of compassion. Reading the condolences sent out tells us all what a gift he was to anyone who knew him. Garry was pleasant, easy to talk to cared about family friends and l know even strangers. He was a giant but he was not intimidating. I know he was proud of his family and rightfully so. You two created a beautiful family. I don’t think there was t a gone Garry would not help. A gentle giant a gift from our Lord. Cherish those memories, I know there are many. I agree that when he meets out Lord and Saviour he will say “Well done good and Faithful servant you touched many with love and compassion. God bless your entire family. We all must greet everyone we meet with love for we never know the day Our Lord will call us home. Take care of each other. Our prayers are with you.
