Harry was a valued neighbor, friend and member of our association at Blue Heron. His kindness and outgoing personality were always welcome and appreciated. Our sincere condolence to Greg and Laurie and Anne Marie and Guy. Harry was a very good friend of mine working together at City National Bank of Detroit through all the mergers as he said. My first encounter with Harry he approached me and said 'do you happen to be Hap Langlois daughter?' Yep........he said his father-in-law and my father were WW II war buddies. There were 4 of them that chummed around. Needless to say we became friends right then. We shared the ups and downs of working in corporate America. If I remember correctly, he rode the tunnel bus with us girls and certainly made us laugh. He had a heart of gold as he visited everyone in the hospitals. He will truly be missed. His family's gravesite is near my in-laws so I will still drop by and say Hi and give him some news. Rest in Peace! Carolyn (Langlois) Labute & Wayne Labute

To the Parkolab Family First our deepest condolences, Your dad was one in a million last time I spoke to him he had just come home from the hospital after being rushed into the hospital . He asked us to pray for him told him I pray for him all the time. Harry I wish we would have met years ago like when your wife was alive I know we would have loved her . Harry we are going to miss your Christmas and Anniversary cards . Thank you Harry Jim and Dianne Roberts

….I became an acquaintance of Mr. Parkolab, during my nearly 35 years as a Funeral Director at Windsor Chapel. When I recall the countless numbers of obituaries that I’ve assisted families in creating, to the countless numbers that I have read, this particular offering stands out. I read this notice line to line, and felt myself thinking, “ yep, yes he did..,yes he was..that smile…that’s SO true about him…modest guy…that smile-contagious “! When Harry would attend the funeral home to extend sympathies….Leon would be the first to get a hug…if we were close…MAYBE..but more likely..a good firm handshake, accompanied by “ that smile”. Your Dad made a difference…THAT, and his reputation should surely help to sustain you- his family members, as you go forward. RIP Harry.

With great sadness we discover the loss of such a great Man, Father, Friend and very devoted/loving Husband and Father. To say that Harry was a friend is an understatement. Loving Caring Friend is so much more accurate. Throughout my entire life Uncle Harry, Aunt Gail, Greg, Ann Marie and Jeff were always there. We shared so many wonderful memories and I am so proud to say that we have stayed in contact with each other over all these years(58+) for me but lifelong friends of my parents. Grateful, Blessed, Cherished, this wonderful person will be missed but so very fondly remembered for the profound kindness always offered. These wonderful people never missed a beat when it came to special moments in our lives by sending such heartfelt cards for numerous celebrations over the years. He was Blessed in so many ways but most of all we were Blessed by his devotion and love so freely shared. We shed a tear at this time but more smiles than tears by far. To the Parkolab Family we express our absolute deepest condolences and send you the warmest hugs from afar. We care so deeply for you both Greg and Ann Marie and we know how terribly difficult this is but we all know that he is in the arms of his lovingly cherished wife Gail and wonderful son Jeff. They are now and forever watching over us and keeping us in their loving arms. Many Thoughts of Love, Care & Prayers, John, Fatima, Jordan, Jansen, Andrew, Olivia and Nathan Lefrancois from New Brunswick Canada
