To all the sisters, grandchildren, extended family and dearest friend Michelle.
You all know I loved your dad like a second father. Your family welcomed me and so many people into the joy of your home on Elizabeth St, and that continued as they moved to Windsor. Your parents were beautiful positive people who changed all they touched for the better.
On our adventures, Cal was always positive, offered simple and kindly advice ( Where’s you hat? : ) and welcomed me into the Shwery fold.
I know he shall live on in so many people. His writings are full of his sharp memories, on our last visit he was happy and gentle and smart as always, with his girls taking great care of him. As he said, they had him all set up and he was feeling no pain.
I believe he and Alice are dancing as I write this.
He was a man who built a wonderful world for his kids and took care of so many.
