Obituary of Ernest Earl Harris

HARRIS, Ernest Earl “Ernie” Rev.

April 14, 1945-April 12, 2022

With a broken heart I announce the passing of Ernie at the age of 76 with his loving wife by his side. Beloved and cherished husband for 57 years to Cathy (nee Armstrong). Dear brother of Marilyn (Bill), Ron (Carol), Georgina, Evelyn (Murray), and his adopted sister Pam. Predeceased by his parents Eva and Ronald Manktelow and his adoptive parents Dorothy and Reg Harris. Loving brother-in-law of Judy, Marion and John. Dearest friend of Karen and Lawrence Lamoure, Jane Baldwin, Ron and Liz Pertras, and Murray and Gloria Steacy.  Ernie will be dearly missed by his cockatiels, Freddie and Nikki. Ernie was a dedicated Board Member and volunteer with the Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers for many years. He had a hobby for ventriloquism and often performed with Hank. A special thank you to Lina Busico for your kindness. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of chapel service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers or to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
