Dear Cathy, The Lord brought Ernie and you across our path several times over the years. Remember in the 1980's I worked at the music publisher where Ernie had his recordings? Then our paths crossed again after we moved to Wheatley, where we became good friends with your sister, mother and brother. Rick and I spoke at your church when we were raising our support for the mission field with Trans World Radio. We always appreciated your prayers and then you became our supporters over 20 years ago. We always enjoyed our visits with you when we came back to Canada on furlough. Now your Ernie and my Rick have crossed paths again recently experiencing their first Easter in heaven with their Lord and Savior Jesus. Someday, in God's perfect time, we will cross paths again, there, with them.

Ernie was the kindest and most caring person I ever knew. He put his all into everything he did. The Crime Stopper Board has lost their long time and best Bail or Jail participant. There will be a void in the lives of anyone who knew Ernie. Rest in peace with Our Lord.

To Cathy and surviving family members ,my sincerest condolences. I only knew Ernie for maybe 2or 3 years, he was a very kind soft spoken gentleman and a true servant of God .I remember meeting him at his home hooking up some audio video equipment, where we engaged in quite lengthy conversation. He had a sense of humour . Always a pleasure to be around even in a hospital room a laugh would be had. I had a couple of occasions ro dine with him and his lovely wife Cathy, more recently at the Moose lodge I did not have the opportunity to visit him when he took I’ll, however prayers were made on his behalf, God knows us by name and nature I would often accompany Earnie durring Covid or just run sone errands to assist, his pleasantness and wit wil remain forever in my memory . I know Ernie will recieve his crown ,,and the lord wil say”Well done my servant “till we meet again ,Rest In Peace dear friend,may The lord comfort alll your loved ones at this time of grief, sincerely James and Carmela Smith
