It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Danny, a loving husband, father and friend on December 22, 2021 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, at the age of 67. Beloved husband and best friend to Dora Di Carlo (nee Ferrera) with whom he celebrated 37 years of blessed marriage.  Loving and devoted father to Laura Amicucci and husband Alfredo of New Market, and Darrin Di Carlo and fiancee Angela Sbrocca of Windsor. Predeceased by parents Dario and Maria Pia Di Carlo and in-laws, Achille and Irma Ferrera. Cherished brother in-law to Gina Santia and late husband Alfred, and Val Ferrera and wife Auggie; all of Michigan. Danny will be sadly missed and remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, his canine companion Gigi, and  the Sbrocca, Bogaert and Jagatic families. He was a retired employee of General Motors Transmission Plant with over 30 years of dedicated service. Danny was very passionate about music and enjoyed playing his guitar in the backyard of his home. He was well known by many for his loyalty to the Detroit Tigers and Toronto Maple Leafs. However, his greatest love in life was his family whom he cherished with all his heart. Danny's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to doctors Eli and Natalie Malus, doctor Dana Walters (Nephrology) and the staff at WRH, Ouellette Campus (ICU) for their compassionate care provided to Danny and his family. Friends will be received at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., South Windsor (519) 253-7234 on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 2:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 4:30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mt. Royal Dr. Windsor). Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.  Masks are required to attend visitation, Funeral Mass and cemetery services.  Reservations are required to attend the Funeral Mass.
