Dan, or as he asked me to call him, "The Italian Stallion" was a good friend of mine in high school. We played guitar together , went bowling or to movies together. We had the same circle of friends through our COR weekend. It's a tribute to him that I still have such fond memories of him after all these years. My deepest condolences to
his family.

Dear Dora, Laura and Alfredo, Darrin and Angela, words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. Such a loss. Will be truly missed. Always thinking of others. Very soft-spoken and always looking at the glass half full. Danny will always be remembered as a kind and loving person. I'll always remember you all coming out to my home shortly after my mother passed. I wish I could be there with you all at this time but circumstances will not allow. You will always be in my prayers for the Lord to give you strength during this time and the days following. Your TO cousins, Sam and Niki Gallo (nee DiCArlo).

We are so sorry to hear this. Our condolences to all of you. Hearing of this caused so many great memories of Dan. Beginning way back in high school where his laugh was infectious and a magnet to many. He taught us all not to take ourselves seriously. Another memory was as young adults visiting Dan and the DiCarlo family with friends at Christmas and not be allowed to leave....their hospitality was over the top. Later in Faith, where to quote a friend "He was an epic figure" and he helped us with his gift of music and laughter. He truly was a cherished beloved member of our group of friends. These memories will be with us always. Dora, Laura, Darrin and family, Mary and I have you in our prayers and thoughts and wish that we could be with you at this time.

While we haven't met any members of the Di Carlo family, Danny became a dear friend of ours in recent years when our paths would cross at Caesars Windsor where we spent some time in our retirement years and we became friends on Facebook. We loved his sense of humor, out-going personality and shared many laughs and good times. He always spoke glowingly of his family, particularly "my Bella" who he loved to take to concerts at the Coliseum. We will miss him. Jim and Nancy Bruce.

I was so sorry to hear of Dan’s death. My sympathies to all of you. I knew Dan from Faith Unlimited ….. such great memories. I was a fellow guitarist. Boy could he play! Dan was about seven years older and I remember him taking me to a couple concerts in the States …. Saw Chicago and John Denver…… He was a fantastic guitarist, and kind, kind guy. Blessings as you walk this path of missing him.

Dear Dora, Laura and Darrin: So very sad to hear about Danny's passing. On each visit to Windsor from Toronto, we would always leave with lots of good laughs and long great talks, and of course his guitar coming out for a song or two. May you find peace in all your fond memories with him. Do not think of what you wish you had done, regret not doing, or of what you were planning to do in the future, but think of the many memories he shared with you all together as a family. My most heartfelt condolences to you all.

Our sincerest condolences, prayers and thoughts go out to you Dora, Darrin (Angela) Laura (Alfredo). Family was everything to Danny. I know many of his friends will miss him too. One thing that stands out in my mind is every time I met up with Danny the first thing out of his mouth would be how’s the kids doing? What are they up to? We kibitzed for a while and during our conversation he would glowingly talk about Laura and Darrin. He was so proud of what you guys were up to and accomplishing in your lives.
Danny was an accomplished musician, a faithful Catholic and a strong Union supporter. I recall attending the weekend Union educational seminars with Dan. When we worked at the General Motors Transmission plant, I had the pleasure to chat with him in the assembly room where he worked putting in torque converters. We would talk about everything from sports, to politics to important Union issues. Danny was so competitive. He was an avid, knowledgeable sport fan (Tiger fan) even though his hockey knowledge was questionable since he supported the Leafs. He played in many of our charity golf tournaments, our CAW Recreation events like the Texas Hold’em Tournaments. Danny always supported his Union. One time during our conversation about politics, he suggested that T-Shirts be made so that we can educate our members on important issues. He said he would wear it proudly to spread the message. During election time I knew I could always rely on his loyal support and for that I was forever grateful. We will miss you Danny, may you rest in eternal peace and may your memory be a blessing…
