Obituary of Adel Skaff

SKAFF, Adel Georges

Sunrise: April 12, 1941 - Sunset: October 9, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Adel Skaff. He was surrounded by his loving immediate family. Loving and devoted husband to Hoda Skaff (nee Haddad) for 41 years. Cherished father of Nicolas Skaff and wife Tanya (nee Mariani) and Gregory Skaff and wife Danielle Grondin. Proud and adoring grandfather to Alexander Skaff. Predeceased by his parents Georges and Zakia Skaff of Ain Arab, Lebanon. Dear brother and brother-in-law to Elias and Marie Skaff (both deceased), Violet and Elias Habib (both deceased), Souad and Nicholas Ghosin (deceased), Mike and Rita Skaff; and Mateel Skaff (deceased). He loved his many nieces, nephews, and extended families: Skaff, Mariani, Grondin, Haddad, Habib, Ghosin, Hanna, Elossais and Jabbour.

Adel was born in the village of Ain Arab, Lebanon. In 1968, he immigrated to Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He married the love of his life, Hoda Skaff, on August 31, 1980 and they raised a beautiful family together. His family was his greatest joy and he worked hard to provide for them. Adel worked at Bendix and Windsor Bumper for 20 years. He then worked for the Veterans Cab Company (#52) and finally retired in 2001 after 15 years of service. Adel enjoyed seasonal hunting, cultural culinary exploration, and spending time with his family and friends. No matter how challenging his journey in life became, he would always smile, hold his chin up, and tell everyone that he was “One hundred percent!” Thank you for your love that you shared unconditionally. We will miss you dearly and our love for you is eternal.

With all our hearts we thank the medical teams at the Ouellette and Tayfour Campuses, the Dr. Y. Emara Complex Care Centre, and the ERIE St. Clair LHIN who did an amazing job! You never gave up on him until his last breath, THANK YOU!
