My dear Heino cousins,
There is a strange mix of grief and joy when we lose a loved one. Despite the promise of new life, this life feels ill at ease and empty without their physical presence. This was so for me at the death of my own mom. Your mom, my aunt Joan, was a woman of great faith and had a wonderful sense of humour. I felt so honoured when she and Uncle Moe drove out to Brandon, Manitoba for my final vows ceremony in 1988 – Aunts Annette, Diane and Sheila (Dale) were also there. Their love and support meant a lot to me. Over the years I have talked with Aunt Joan by phone and on occasion would visit with her when I would come home to Windsor. I am saddened by her death and enlivened by her spirit. May the fullness she now knows encourage your hearts in this time of mourning. with gratitude, your cousin, Sandy Stewart, RNDM.
