After 87 years, Grace Daypuk (nee Bruckman) left this earth on September 3, 2021 at the Palliative Care Unit of Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital.  Daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend, Grace enriched the lives of so many.  Born March 21, 1934 to Georgina (nee Beck) and Herman Joseph Bruckman. She is survived by brother Herman Bruckman Jr (Patricia Mahoney) and sister Carolyn James (Bill Code), as well as their children and grandchildren.  Grace was raised in Timmins, Ontario and graduated from Timmins High and later Ryerson college in Toronto.  She taught business and guidance with the Windsor District School Board.  She was a fiercely loyal big sister and friend.  Auntie Grace mentored and celebrated niece Andromeda (John Sulja) and nephew Orion (Amy Coulter).  She cherished her great-nephews Jaromir, Atlas, Takoda, and Hudson, and her great-niece Jasminka.  Grace inspired and supported many good friends from all stages of her life, and loved talking, emailing, knitting, going to the casino and going on adventures with them.  She inspired and encouraged hundreds of students, and was another mother for her students coming to Canada from Hong Kong.  Grace had a passion for life, a love of a good joke, and she showed her generosity in knitting items for family, friends, and those in need.  Grace lived life on her terms, and we will miss her greatly. 
Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 12 p.m. until time of Chapel Service at 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required to attend the Chapel Service. Please call Windsor Chapel, 519-253-7234, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to book your reservation. Masks are required at the visitation and Chapel Service.
