Dear Kavanaugh family,
I cannot fully describe how much Len's professional work assisted me and the organizations I represented over many years. Len was a true gentleman, and a pleasure to work with. The world has lost one of its best. My deepest sympathy to all of the family.

My deepest condolences to Kelly and family, Len spoke of his family often, as we had downtime at arbitrations. Len had a wonderful sense of humour and our HDGH family always enjoyed our time working with him. We especially loved his sayings, that we affectionately called "Lenisms". You will be missed greatly Len !

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Len. We will remember him for his kindness, sincerity, good humour and friendship. Len was an exceptional lawyer and litigator who effectively defended the legal rights and interests of his clients, but did so in a very principled, fair and respectful manner. He was certainly passionate about practicing law, but clearly he loved his family above all. He always spoke very highly of them, especially his grandchildren. Len will be greatly missed. With heartfelt sympathies, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Len. He was the labor lawyer for The Windsor Star for many years and I spent countless hours with him on many issues, particularly when we were negotiating contracts with our unions. But it was our informal chats after a long day of arbitration that I will remember most. His love of family, his profession and his intellect always shone through and he had such a wonderful sense of humor. Sincere sympathies to the whole Kavanaugh family. Much love, Jim and Nancy Bruce.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Len. Len was a fierce advocate of any professional or personal request that I ever asked him to assist me with. Len dearly cherished his family and he would always talk about his family with tremendous pride. I have lit a round green candle with a "fuse" in recognition of Len's proud Irish heritage and personality.

A mentor and a colleague, Len was one of the best in the profession. He was fearless but wise, cautious and prepared and always worked hard for his clients in order to obtain the best results. To his family, our sincerest condolences. We hope that memories of lives well lived--both Len and your beloved mother, Lynne--bring you the solace that you need to heal your grieving hearts.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Kavanaugh family. My father "Jake" and I knew Len as our labour lawyer for Omstead Foods in Wheatley ON. Len was passionate, honourable and professional in his work. He had a wonderful sense of humour which brightened up the most challenging day during contract negotiations. He touched many people's lives and we will remember him fondly. Tom, Sue and Jake Omstead

I'm truly saddened by the news of Len's passing. I'm going to miss Len's happy go lucky skip down our Human Resources hallway to our boardroom. His hanger for his coat will forever hang in our boardroom closet in honour of him.
My deepest sympathy.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Kavanaugh family my deepest sympathies to all of you. You are in my thoughts and my prayers. I had the great honour of working with Len as our counsel at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare for 25 years. Len was a keen legal mind, and the epitome of a gentleman - he assisted us with many difficult cases and always kept our values in the forefront.
On a personal level, his wonderful sense of humour and devoted love for his family kept us chatting for many hours during our arbitrations and prep meetings-- I learned much from him on both a personal and professional level. I most enjoyed how Len had his wonderful little sayings and would tease him whenever I noticed a new one ( the Lenisms) - Kelly I think we actually wrote them down at one point.
So Len my friend this has truly gone from the "ridiculous to the sublime". I'm glad you have always "kept your powder dry" and since "I didn't just fall off the legume truck" I will take "this five minutes" and think about the wonderful man I had the honour of spending time with and learning from.

My deepest condolences to the Kavanaugh family. I had the honour to have Len as my labour lawyer for the past 10 years. As a lawyer he fought harder than anyone and was always the most prepared in the room. I’m not sure I will ever have representation like his for the rest of my career. I loved being around Len even if I had to pay him by the hour to hang out with me! The past 10 years he taught me so much about labour law, life and the importance of family. Len became more than my lawyer he was my friend and I will miss him dearly. I wish I had one more arbitration case with him so I could watch him work his magic one last time! RIP buddy.
