Mrs. Trautman was my grades 4 and 5 teacher at St. Vincent de Paul School all those years ago. She was undoubtedly the teacher who had the most impact on my life. Teachers inspire teachers. I hope, due to her example, I have been the best teacher inspiring others. Her torch has been passed on. Bless her!

Paul and I have been deeply saddened by the news of Pauline’s recent passing. Our friendship goes back to the 70’s . Pauline was a positive, fun loving person and we had the pleasure to be Pauline and Louis’ “travelling buddies” for many of our eventful GOLF TRIPS! We always had a blast with them and will treasure Pauline ‘s laugh and glowing smile and her youthful spark for FUN ! Pauline was an excellent educator who was well liked and respected by her peers, students, and their parents. She always gave a little extra to her pupils who were struggling. We’ll miss you dearly. Paul and Lowanna Closs

I came to know Pauline when I volunteered at the Village at St Clair. I enjoyed spending time with her, particularly when I was able to take her outside to sit in the warmth and the sun of the summer. I will miss her. May all your special memories help you in this time. Vicki Simison

Mrs Troutman was the best Gr 4 teacher ever. Her patience with my hyper active daughter was amazing. Her reading Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing by Judy Blume turned my daughter on to reading as none of the hundreds of books I read to her did. She made sure my daughter wore her glasses and patiently turned my daughters legs fwd facing several times a day as she moved up and down between the desks checking on her students. My daughter is a wonderful teacher today with over 10 yrs experience. Thanks in part to her amazing 4th grade teacher. Heaven awaits you with accolades Mrs Trautman!!!

We didn’t have the privilege of knowing Karen’s parents, but we do know Karen, our sister in law, wife of my brother Peter. There isn’t a finer, more generous woman; she must be a perfect example of her mother’s influence. Please accept our deepest condolences and love to Karen and her family.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Trautman, my Grade 3 teacher at St. Vincent de Paul. She was an intelligent, kind and caring person who treated her students like they were one of her own children. I always enjoyed her stories and she was an excellent reader and pianist. I can only imagine how wonderful she was as a daughter, wife, mom, sister and grandmother. My deepest condolences to the family. R.I.P. Sincerely, Chris Vetor

Deepest Sympathies to her family and friends. She was one of the best. I will always remember her infectious smile and her wit. Gum never stood a chance in her class. She was beautiful inside and out. She always remembered her students. May she rest easy now with the love of her life. Together again. Great memories to hold on too for all. Sincerely Melissa Hart (Rebich family)

So many fond memories of Pauline, always with a sense of humour and irony, putting up with us teenagers hooting and hollering, inside and out, hogging the pool, raiding the kitchen, drinking in the basement and staying up till all hours playing Rummoli. Grateful to you, Pauline! Enjoy the next step of your journey. CindyMac
