Obituary of Marion Ruth McDowell

MCDOWELL, Marion Ruth (nee Goddard) 

April 21, 1930 -May 14, 2021 

Passed away peacefully at WRH-Met Campus, on Friday, May 14, 2021, at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Orville (2000). Cherished mother of Cathy (Mike) Assef and the late Susan, 2013 (late Miles Fleming, 2007). Dear Grandmother of Jeff (Anhthu) and Mark (Mekayla). Special GG of Maia, Skye, Lucas and Baby Assef. Daughter of the late Percy and Ann Goddard (nee Henderson). Sister of Robert (Jo Ann) Goddard and Nancy (Bill) Gobel. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Marion always looked forward to Sunday family dinners, summer pool parties and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thank you to the care team at Chartwell Assisted Living in St. Clair Beach, for their kindness and compassion. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd., on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 3-7 p.m, with a private funeral service to follow. Reservations are required to attend the visitation, please call Windsor Chapel, 519-253-7234, between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. to book your reservation. A private family burial will take place on Thursday, May 20, at Woodlawn Cemetery, London.
