Edyta, Silvano and Selina,
We are truly sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. We have many fond memories of the early days of houseleague soccer, with the FC Nationals and playing as" rivals" in hockey. Mike always had a smile and had very kind and caring words showing support to all the players. We enjoyed the road trips with soccer and getting to know "Coach " Mike. It was great to see him involved with soccer over the years-and even though as our kids get older and move on, our memories are there to reflect and remember. As time passes on, cherish those memories for years to come.
Our deepest sympathy,
Aurelio, Lynn, Michael and Kiara Roncone

From Heather and Dennis Spirovski, Johnny and the Bensette Family:
We are utterly shocked and heartbroken over the sudden passing of our dear old friend, Mike Valente.
Edyta...Steve..Janie....kids and entire Valente family....Our hearts are with you today even though we could not be there because of these ludicrous Gov. 'rules' imposed upon us. We would have been there in a heartbeat.
Our families go back 3 generations and even though we get busy with our lives and lose touch, this news hurts as much today as it ever would.
Mike was one of those rare people you just couldn't help smiling around. His quick wit and comedic nature was well known and much loved. Wherever he went, he left a trail of 'happy' vibes.
I remember the day he drove by my house one evening, dragged me out on the porch, dimples ablaze, just to tell me that he had met the most beautiful Polish girl. "Her name is Edyta and I'm going to marry her!" . "Mike, does she know about this?", we laughed. She was...and he did.
I remember visiting Darlene and the boys with my mom and brother when we were small and the game was, "OK. , we're going to hide in the back seat and see how far we can drive over to your house before the mom's know we're gone!"...Trouble makers.
Mike, it is with great sadness and many tears that I say to you today. ' You loved life and brought joy to all around you. We will miss you, we will tell stories about you, and we will never forget you. '
Until we all meet again in the same place.....farewell, my friend.

Our families also travelled to Mexico together and it was such an amazing trip filled with lots of laughter thanks to Mr Valente. We are heartbroken to learn of Mike’s passing. Our family first met Coach Mike when our daughter joined the Caboto Allstar team and we will always remember his kindness and generosity. On the field, Mike always made a point to engage with each player and offer positive feedback - sometimes even to players on opposing teams. After games Coach Mike would often treat the entire team and all of their siblings to McDonald’s ice cream (or anything else they wanted) so they had time to get to know each other, have some fun and gel as a team. He put his heart into the role and as a result the girls were not only better soccer players, but better people who had each other’s backs on and off the field. Mike was the kind of person who made anyone he came in contact with feel important. We wish his family the strength and love that Mike approached life with and comfort in his memory.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. We had the the true pleasure to be a colleague/co-worker of Mike. Getting to know him, and recognizing the wealth of experience, knowledge and success he had, yet seeing how he also had both feet firmly planted on the ground; he knew his priorities-family and friends (and cars :).
Then becoming closer friends over the years and sharing laughs and many a few poker nights with the boys, Mike was always the one that caused the most laughs during those nights.
To Edyta and his children, may you always know and remember your husband/father as a very well regarded, respected and talented businessman but also, and more importantly as a true gentlemen, who always spoke of you all with the utmost pride and love.
He will be missed around the office for sure, but Mike, you will always have a spot at our poker table.
Rest in peace my friend.

We first met Mike at a dance convention when our daughters were on Kickstart. He introduced himself to us with the most magnificent smile that lit up his entire face, a smile that we subsequently came to know well and will cherish forever. Mike was truly one of the kindest and most generous men we've ever known. We have so many fantastic memories of fun times togethers, like poolside cabanas and limo rides along the strip in Vegas. We always had so much fun hanging out with him and Edyta – both down–to- earth and genuinely good people.
Edyta, our hearts are broken for you, Selina and Sylvano. You are in our thoughts and in our prayers, now and always. Mike was a wonderful guy and we know he will be truly missed by many, including us.

We’ve managed a property for Mike the last four years. He was super kind to us. Gave us a job we felt was a blessing. He was the kindest landlord, and fair. We learned a lot from him. He trusted us and we really appreciated it. He introduced us to his lovely little family including his doggy Coco, whom on many occasions had sleepovers with our doggy Lucy at our apt. We knew Mike was gravely ill, but we were still shocked to know he had passed so suddenly. We expected and wanted more time with him. So we feel a great loss and sadness.
Our prayers are now for Edyta, Syl, and Selina. May God soothe your broken hearts. Mike is safe in Gods memory until a time he will awaken again and we can give him a big hug!
Until then, I will never forget his brilliant blue eyes and great wide smile.
Our deepest condolences to all his family.
