Although Dorene and I have known each other since Shrine Grade School days, Brownies and Girl Scouts we were able to reconnect more than ten years ago when our mothers were in Woodward Hills Rehab. From there we got together to visit and support for family situations. Dorene was instrumental in planning Shrine 67 gatherings as we prepared for our 50th class reunion. Dorene's family especially her grandchildren were so important to her. She often talked about her brother, sister, mother and Alyssa. Her devotion to helping other children and families of MCAD children is most impressive. Her impact on the legislation she fought for will live on forever. You are missed by many already as we struggle with the suddenness of your passing. Sending prayers for you that you have found peace and for your family as they cope with your loss. As Dorene was famous for her thoughtfulness - HUGS!
