Obituary of Margaret Barnes

BARNES, Margaret Louise (nee MacDonald) June 11, 1939– December 19, 2020 Passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital- MET Campus, on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the age of 81. Dear wife of the late Hugh Rex Barnes (2013). Loving Mom of Colin (Rhonda) and Colleen (Jeremy). Loving Nana to Novie Barnes. Step-mom of Kim and Sherry (late Bob). Dear daughter of the late Colin and Nora MacDonald (nee McDonald). Sister of John (June), Frances (late Dave), Theresa (Mac) and Greta (Jim). Sister-in-law of Gail (late Norm). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Margaret treasured her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed bowling in her younger days, spending summers in Grand Bend with her family and traveling with Colleen during her figure skating years. Margaret will be remembered for her kind spirit and being the ultimate giver, she was a bright light to everyone in the community and a dear friend to many, never asking for anything in return. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will take place on Wednesday, December 23, with interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
