Margaret and I were next door neighbours since the late 1960's. I babysat for Colin and Colleen while Margaret worked. We were like sisters and stayed in touch until summer 2019 when I was lucky to see her before she moved back to Windsor. Before she moved to the States I would occasionally visit her and take her to the Maple Leaf restaurant where we laughed and shared old memories and secrets. The waitresses would join in our laughter and always remarked we were having too good a time! Over the years we treasured each and every phone call. She would say, " It's so great to laugh, isn't it?" She always dressed very sharp and her trademark hairdo suited her so well that she refused to change it. We will miss her so much...always a ready smile when she greeted us. Sleep well my friend. Love, Carol ( Tapp ) Caliguire

Loved my Aunt "Margie Barnes"....her crazy any time of the night phone calls just to chat, her love of sweets....sharing her Date Square recipe with me that I will cherish forever!! She always had the best wit with conversations we shared....sometimes making me laugh just by hearing her infectious laugh. I could share many memories of her but my favourite and most funny one is putting away groceries at her house on Westminister and her telling me to put the chips in the dishwasher as she used it for storage and preferred to wash her dishes by hand!! I will miss you Margie Barnes......Love Dawn Marie xoxo My condolences to Colin and Colleen
