Obituary of Gerald Lemay
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 8, 2019 after a battle with Corticobasal degeneration.
Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Manahan) of 37 years.
Loving and proud father of Jerry (Anna) Lemay, Johanna (Chris) Lemay-Carr, Dhayna Lemay (Igor Beric), and Nicole Lemay.
Cherished grandpa of Logan and baby on the way (June 2019).
Loving son of Bernice (late Jack Donaldson) and the late Gerald (surviving, Carol).
Dearest brother of Sue Calleja (late Bruce 2012), late Barbara (1990) (surviving, Bill) Bazylinski, Dan (Patty), Ron (Mary), Alan (Pam), Brian (Debbie) and Patrick (Sherrilee).
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to family and friends and all of the current and past team members and business clients of Mayson Machining family. Jerry established Mayson Machine in 1979. He was a dedicated, hands-on boss, who would be seen at work 7 days a week. Since becoming ill, his son, Jerry Jr. has stepped in to fill Jerry’s role and oversee the daily operations. A heartfelt thank you also to London Movement Disorder Research.
Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519.253.7234 on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 7:30pm.
Visitation will resume on MONDAY, May 13, 2019 at Sacred Heart Parish (1425 Divine, Lasalle) from 1pm until time of Funeral Mass at 2pm. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
