He always asked me to call him Doug but I couldn''t. I had been taught to respect my Elders and call them Mr. or Mrs. as a sign of respect If anyone earned my respect, it was this wonderful man. Caring, bright, and oh that mischievous grin will not be forgotten by so many. He valued his relationship with his daughter Sharon who phoned, visited, or picked him up and brought him to her home so that he was always included. He loved to talk with his Grandchildren John and Amy who lead busy lives but always made time for their Grandi. This was such a beloved person and will be sadly missed by those who knew him.
