Obituary of Giovanni Caruso

CARUSO, Giovanni "John" Passed away on March 17, 2016 at 88 years of age with his family by his side. Born in Casacalenda, Campobasso, Italy, April 10, 1927. Reunited with his late wife Carmelina (Ingratta) (1999). Loving father to Joe and Marylou, Erminio and Ruth, Mike, Roberto and Rosa. Nonno to John (Meghan), Sarah and Norm Michaud, Melissa, Steven, Jennifer, Michelle and James. Dearest brother to Jack and Mary, Ralph and Josey, the late Pasquale, the late Elisa (John) Vincelli, Lidia and Giovanni Felicita and Maria and the late Pasquale Marcogliese of Italy. Brother in-law to Amelia and Virginio Ricci, the late Angelo and Pasqualina Ingratta, the late Vitantonio and Giuseppina Ingratta, the late Maria and Luigi Mastronardi, the late Clotilde (Nicola) Battista, the late Argentina and Armidore Ingratta, the late Adelina and Michele Policella, the late Nicola and Lucia Ingratta, the late Ercolino and Gelsomina Ingratta, the late Umberto and Matilda Ingratta. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States, Belgium, Italy and South Africa. Special friend to Silvana Bianchet. Giovanni was retired from Chrysler Canada and a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club. A special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at the Chartwell Royal Marquis, the Renal Dialysis Unit, and all the nurses and doctors at Windsor Regional Hospital (7th Floor-Ouellette Campus) for their compassionate care. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-2583-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday March 20, 2016 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 21, 2016 at 8:45 am from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Windsor Regional Hospital Renal Dialysis Unit- Ouellette Campus would be appreciated by the family.
