Obituary of Julius Sydney Hoffman
HOFFMAN, Julius Julius (Jules) Sydney Hoffman, 62, of Windsor, ON, passed away at Windsor Hospice in the presence of his family on January 13, 2016. He fought a courageous, difficult battle with recurrent abdominal liposarcoma. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Pat; his daughter, Jody (Ann Arbor, MI) and son, Jason (Brooks, AB); their spouses Chris and Nicole; his beloved grandchildren Ben, William, and Taylor; his treasured sister Jane and her family; and many other family members and friends. Julius was born on May 15, 1953 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. At the age of 18 he ventured west to Alberta and met the love of his life, Patricia Paxman. They started their family and life together in Brooks, Alberta, where Julius was the proud owner/operator of Brooks Muffler. Following his retirement in 2009 he and Pat moved to Windsor to start a new chapter in their life and focus on spending time with their grandchildren. Julius will be remembered for his love for his family; his extraordinary work ethic; his humble generosity and tendency to quietly make sacrifices for the benefit of his family; his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need, his ability to stoically face whatever hurdles life threw his way; his kind heart, sharp mind, and direct way with words; and for being an incredible fighter until the very end. A memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd.
