Jules was a great man. I've known him most of my life. He was kind generous and fair. You might not have known it to look at him but he had one of the biggest hearts I have ever encountered. All anyone had to do to experience it was simply say "Hi". My deepest condolences to the family.

Our condolences to Pat, Jody, Jason, and families on the passing of Jules. He was a great friend to all and helped anyone who needed it. Was one of the hardest working men I''ve ever known and a true testament to if you work for it and toward it, it will be a reality as was proof in the acreage and his love to tending to it. He took his diagnosis in true Jules fashion and continued to do what he needed too instead of giving up. I missed talking with him when we moved and lost touch with each other. Rest in peace Jules, until we meet again, Larry.

To the family of Jules, I first met Jules at Brooks Muffler in about 1998. I was a 19 year old girl, driving my very first car. My dad had always frequented Franklin's Tires and Brooks Muffler, so that was where he sent me to get my car worked on. For a few minutes after meeting Jules I was a little bit nervous. He looked kind of scary! However, that feeling soon disappeared as he treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. From then on, every time I went to any of those businesses I would stop in and say hello. You do not know me, and I do not know any of you, but know that from the time I heard that Jules was sick many years ago, I have been praying for him and for all of you. He was a gem of a man.

My deepest condolences to the family. Julius was the best muffler man for 500 miles around Brooks. He worked on my dads trucks when I was a boy, and then on most of mine until he retired. RIP my friend.

Hello, Pat, Jody, Jason and families. I just heard about Jules and am very sad to hear of your loss. Jules was always so kind and helpful when my car needed his assistance. Never once did he cause me to feel that my technical question was silly and I am sure it was basic knowledge to him. When in Duchess, he seemed to put in very long hours at the shop so I was happy to learn that he retired and took time to be with his grand children and family. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Arnel

I was so upset to see this obituary in the Brooks Bulletin when I opened it today. Jules was always so nice to me. I dealt with him for basically 7 years in the early 1980''s. I worked at Brooks Esso with Gary McCrady. I delivered many a vehicle to Jules to be fixed. He got to laugh at me when I learned how to drive that old green ford that was a manual transmission and I bucked and bucked until I could finally get on smooth road, but that stop sign by his end of the the Franklin building onto main street was a lot steeper than it was in an automatic. So my condolences to all the family. He was an amazing man.

Just wanted to send my condolences. I met Jules through my dad Pat Boswell while he worked at Franklins beside Jules. Dad told me before I met Jules "he looks alittle rough around the edges but he is the nicest man you will ever meet " and he most definitely was. Jules was the first person to work on my first car. He did some of his beautiful welding jobs and explained why catalytic converters are "useless" and he can make my firebird purr if he took it off. I haven't seen him since him and Pat moved to Ontario but he will be very missed by our family. Love the Boswell bunch

I was saddened to read about Jules passing this morning, and would like to send my condolences to his family. Jules put my first dual exhaust system on my 1974 Ford truck back in the 70''s, and just before he hung up his torch, he did another dual exhaust system on my restored 1979. People loved going to him, old fashioned personal service, old fashioned prices, you could pay by cheque, and he even kept his old rotary phone on the wall working until it wouldn''t work any more. RIP Jules.
