Obituary of Jeremy Kelvin Tyrrell

TYRRELL- Jeremy Kelvin It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Deacon Jeremy Tyrrell who passed away December 20th from Mesothelioma. For those of you who may or may not have known, our dad was diagnosed just over year ago with the disease. We were fortunate to have our dad with us at home from the end of March until earlier this week when we moved him into Hospice where he has been comfortable and received quality around the clock care. On behalf of our family, we would like to extend a warm thank you to all of our close friends, parishioners, colleagues, health care professionals, and strangers who have expressed the warmest and kindest of thoughts, prayers, visits, gifts, and well wishes throughout our dad"s progress. He would want you all to know that he was just as touched by your kindness as much as you have expressed how he has impacted your lives. There was not one day where he did not remark on the overwhelming feedback he and our family have received during this time. As it was in his nature, our dad remained selfless, ensuring that everyone was comfortable and taken care of; putting himself second before everyone else, even while under the care in Hospice. Our dad"s humour, quick wit, and renowned professionalism remained at the standard we have all come to know and admire even in his final days. His pride and dignity remained intact even as things began to change. Our dad passed away under the most comfortable conditions surrounded by his sisters; Pat and Maureen, his children: Andrew and his wife Katie, Emily, and Graeme, and his loving wife Claire. Arrangements for our dad"s viewing will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. on Tuesday December 22, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Tuesday at 7:28pm The funeral will take place at 9:30am on Wednesday December 23rd at Immaculate Heart Parish in Windsor. We invite all of you to come to pay your respects to our dad, and please share this information to those who may not have been directly in contact with him, or those who may also want to attend. Duc in Altum, Dad Andrew, Emily, and Graeme Hospice has been an incredible gift and experience for our father and our family. If you feel so inclined, please make a donation to help support this necessary service, so it may continue to provide excellent care for other family"s loved ones. As our father was also a devoted Deacon of the Diocese of London, he felt strongly in support of St. Peter"s Seminary in London, Ontario. Donations in support of this would also be greatly appreciated. Online condolences and cherished memories mat be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
