I was so thrilled to read all the history of the famous, intelligent doctor, from Henry Ave. Winnipeg, Man. George Edward Yee. His generosity from his work to charitable organizations. Dr. George Yee is a model for us in life. He has shown us to treat people with respect and sincerity. He has shown us to love people more than to love ourselves. we are saddened to learn of George's passing. A great gentleman and professional- so caring and deservedly loved and well respected by family and friends. He was also a passionate squash player with a terrific sense of humour- many wonderful memories of him on the squash court! He made a positive difference in so many lives- truly a life well lived. I met George in the early 70s as a member of the University Club where we enjoyed many games of squash with each other and fellow club members. He was a much better player than I. We lived in the same neighbourhood and would frequently see each other at the golf club or the Second Cup. We were not good friends but friendly and I always enjoyed those brief moments of conversation. He was a man I greatly respected. He will be missed. My sympathies to all his family and friends.

This is very difficult to write as I have difficulty digesting the passing of George Yee. He was taken much to soon. As I new him he was a tough squash opponent [every once in a while he would let me win a game] but who had a heart of gold once he left the court. We spent many days on the road during harsh winter days travelling to other squash clubs in Michigan competing for our Windsor club; usually we were victorious. George was a winner. The best part was the camaraderie we enjoyed during our post game dinner sharing lots of laughs and a few bruises if we had a rare loss. Again George was a winner in his profession and will always be remembered for his many accomplishments . These successes gave him the opportunity to enjoy his other pursuits such as skiing and travelling and later philanthropy. Later as the squash days waned George became a patient of mine and that gave us a lot of opportunity to share old and new stories during treatment. I feel honored he choose me. He was a wonderful person who has left a wonderful family [ everyone extremely accomplished].He has a right to be proud of each and every one of you. What a legacy! My biggest regret I cannot say goodbye in person as I am away at a conference and will not be back in time but I am going to say goodbye with this condolence and look forward to reuniting in spirit. We can then set up a squash game like in the past. With much sadness and heavy heart, Mitch

Dear Lauren & Family Our Deepest Condolences are sent to you all at this most difficult time. I to have lost my Father in June and I know what you are going through and my heart aches for you. We had the pleasure of meeting your parents at the boys numerous hockey games and also Steve knew your Father through work.
