Obituary of Maria Kryworuk

KRYWORUK, Maria (nee Gnyp) Passed away peacefully on December 31, 2013 at the age of 88. Devoted wife and soulmate for 66 years to Peter. Cherished mother to Lucia and late husband Ctibor Janek (2008), Peter and wife Mary. Loving grandmother to Stephanie Janek, Michael and Andrew Kryworuk. Sister to Wasyl and predeceased by Yurko, Afia and Natalka (Ukraine). Sister-in-law to Ivan Kryworuk and survived by many nieces and nephews in Ukraine. Maria was a long time member of Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church and treasurer of The Women"s League of Ukrainian Canadians, Windsor Branch. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Panachyda (Prayers) at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Drive, just east of Howard Ave.) on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Rt. Rev. Fr. Eugene Halitsky officiating. Internment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sts.
