I'm sorry I couldn't make it for visitation but I did want to express my sincere condolences. John was also a member, with me, of our WECSSO retirees sports group. In fact, he was on my baseball team 3 years ago. I also went with him to the Windsor Camera Club one night, as I knew he was also interested in photography. As I'm sure you know, John was a gentle, friendly fellow. He was easy to talk to and, even as he knew he had the cancer, he did not complain to anyone. He did not want anyone feeling sorry for him. He was a good friend to all. Everyone who knew him felt comfortable in his presence. His family will have many fond memories of this good man. Phil Ochs
