I just want to send my condolences on the passing of Rev. Almond. He was a customer at the BIg V on Wyandotte when I worked there. He was always so cheerful and pleasant. When my Mom got sick and passed away he spoke at her funeral service like he had known her for years. He was most compassionate and very comforting during our loss. My deepest sympathy to you all on the passing of such a lovely man.

I was so sad to read about the passing of Paul. I worked for years with him at windsor regional hospital. He would always come and help out with people who had gone through a personal trauma. No matter want time of night I would call him Paul would always come in and never complained. He would also help other chaplains when the stress became too much for them Through all of this he would always have time to come by switchboard and chat and tell a story. He was truly a wonderful man and will be very missed.

Mr. Almond was such a wonderful man, a good man, who meant so much to so many. Through his leadership at Junior Achievement, Mr. Almond (never could call him Paul) set so many of us on the right path as we graduated from childhood to adulthood, and I know he was so proud of the successes of his Achievers, not necessarily in business, but as good, solid citizens who loved their friends and family as he did. Will be dearly missed, but sent off with much love and respect. Kevin Shea

It is with a heavy heart that I type this message. Mr A, as he was known to us at JA was a man who likely didn't even realize how much he had impacted my life. His integrity and common sense dealings with us as young adults gave me the ability to raise my 4 children to grown adults with grace and dignity. Mr. A. taught me that teens who are treated with respect and integrity grow into amazing adults. Thank you Mr. A. for being the man that you were. We shall meet again in the Kingdom to Come, and I will hug you then, and again,,, Sincerely, Mouse

Dear Olga, Kathy, Duncan, Lara, and Nicole: Paul was much beloved by all, especially those of us who were touched by his kindness, concern and humor. Paul set an example that myself and many others aspired to achieve. I have fond memories of the trips for ice cream, playing in your yard, Junior Achievement and so much more. Paul was always there for our family so I felt I had a guardian angel. We were blessed to have known such a wonderful man. He is at peace. With deepest condolences, Dawn La Valle

Olag and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Paul was loved by everyone and a true mentor to me. It was his guidance that got me to where I am today. I remeber the first time we meet on the beach at a JA beach party - this guy with a brush cut didn't fit what we had been used to with Bill Brennan. He quicky became our friend and guided many of us. He has been a life long friend, never too busy to chat. I will miss him. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Almond Family, I had the pleasure of meeting Paul years ago working at the hospital. We were almost stuck in one of the elevators together and he said well we might as well introduce ourselves if we're going to be stuck here! And I was new to working at the hospital and he was always friendly time after time. I know many patients thought very highly of him and the care he provided to them. My deepest condolences on your loss.

My sincerest condolences to Paul's family. He was an amazing man. Kind, fair, considerate, thoughtful, so many words describe him. I was honoured to have him at JA during the years I was there in the 1970's. He was a blessing to all who knew him. Years later when he met people, he knew them by name...and there were so many people whose lives he touched. He was truly a blessing here on earth, and he will be with our Heavenly Father. Rest in Peace Paul....you were truly loved and respected. Thank you for all you have done for so many.

Dear Olga and Famly, My thoughts and prayers are directed to your family as you grieve the loss of your beloved Paul. Even though I have not seen much of him over the years, I still thought about him often. During my years as a teenager, the life lessons that your father instilled upon me were very influential and guided me on this path of life. I look forward to that joyful reunion when I meet up with him again in Heaven. May you feel the loving comfort and warmth of the Lord's embrace during this time. Blessings to you all, Jerry

I was stunned to hear of Paul's passing. I worked with Paul when he was on the pastoral care service for the ICU at Metroplitan Hospital. We spent many a time discussing lifes mysteries and how things would change if only we ruled the world. Paul could always be counted on to come in to comfort our patient's families in times of need. His compassion knew no boundaries. I was saddened when he retired knowing that we were losing a truely wonderful man who could never be replaced. His passing has saddened all of us in the ICU who remember him. My condolences to his family. He will be missed but never frogotten.

My deepest sympanthy to the Almond Family!. I first met Paul back in 2001 at the Cardiac Wellness Program. I was signing in for my first class when Paul came up behind me to sign in for his first class as well....ya know, I really can't remember what it was exactly that he said to me, but I remember he made me smile. He always had a kind word to say.....followed by something colorful....again, I smile! I am grateful to have had him in my life for a couple hours once a month or so (cardiac group dinners). God Bless.

Dear Olga, So sorry for your loss. My terrible cold prevents me from being there in person. Paul was such a support to my two girls when I was in hospital in '97 with my brain aneurysm. He helped me with his quick sense of humour when I return to work at Met in '00. He'll always be fondly remembered.
