Obituary of Christopher James Bendo

BENDO- Christopher James February 21, 1960- August 25, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Chris. Loving husband to Tina (nee Sansotta). Cherished father of Nicoletta (Nikki) and Matthew. Adored son of Lou and Jean Bendo (nee Aspinall). Treasured brother of Mark and Carol (nee Rymar) and Michael Bendo. Predeceased by his grandparents Maurice and Isabelle Aspinall (nee Squire) and Antonio and Sarah Bendo (nee DelVillano). Devoted son-in-law of Domenic and Anna Maria Sansotta (nee Monteleone). Esteemed brother-in-law of Antonio and Elena Mariani (nee Sansotta), Filippo and Monica Sansotta (nee Dauncey), Rick and Josie Zannese (nee Sansotta), Nick and Theresa Sansotta (nee Unis), Sam and Angie DeRose (nee Sansotta). Dearest uncle of Christina, Anthony (Godchild), Zane, and Tristan Bendo; Steven and Adam Mariani, Nick and Tanya Skaff (nee Mariani), Anna Maria Jr. (Godchild) and Eva Sansotta, Domenic Sansotta Jr., Robert (Godchild), Kayla (Godchild deceased 1996) and David DeRose. Great uncle to Tristan and Keira Mariani and Alexander Skaff. Chris will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in Canada, the USA, and Italy. Prior to his illness, Chris was an avid golfer who attended the University of New Orleans on a golf scholarship. His love of the game inspired him to invent the Stingray Putter as well as the Tempo Tuner. He was a gifted musician who composed his own music and wrote his own lyrics. Musically he was known as Bonzz and created a CD, which he dedicated to his wife and children. Chris was self-employed and the founder of Chris Bendo and Associates Inc. He will fondly be remembered for his annual role as Santa Claus. Throughout his life, he touched the lives and hearts of many with his laughter and sense of humour. He always made a point everyday to say, "I love you." Chris had a big and generous heart and spirit. He will be truly missed by all who knew him well. If we could get another chance, another walk, another dance with him we"d play a song that would never, ever end. We love you forever and always. At Chris' request cremation has taken place.
