Obituary of Marietta Palma Mifsud
Marietta Palma Mifsud <br/>née Andrássy de Csikszentkirály et Krasznahorka. <br/><br/>Born March 29, 1931 in Budapest Hungary<br/><br/>April 26, 2020 Windsor, Ontario Canada: On this day; The Feast of Our Lady of Good Council, our dear Mother (Nana, Great Nana and friend to many); entered Into eternal rest in the arms of her beloved Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. <br/><br/>Our Mother was the most loving, joyful, compassionate, generous, giving and selfless woman. She was always happy and cheerful.<br/> She appreciated and cherished the simplicities of life; from the moment she awoke in the morning, you could hear her thanking God for the sun and the day. Even if the sky was grey, it was a beautiful day to her. She always woke up joyful, happy and thankful for all the Lords creation and the gift of life. She was <br/>nana to many of her grandchildren’s friends and an adopted mom to those who didn’t have one.<br/>Mom loved looking at the moon, the stars, blue skies and was passionate about flowers, and her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved to read, write, draw, sew, swim, art, books, and helping others. <br/>She worked at different places throughout her life but no role was greater than that of Mother and wife, sister and Nana.<br/>She volunteered for Birthright for many years, and believed life was sacred from conception to natural death and volunteered for many other things with Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and St. Alphonsus Catholic Parish and she supported many charities throughout her life.<br/> She treasured all her friends throughout the years and many were blessed with letters and cards throughout the years. She was so gifted and had a real joy and love for so many things. <br/><br/>“Death is not extinguishing the Light; it is putting out the Lamp because the Dawn has come”<br/><br/><br/>✝️Predeceased by Her husband Anthony (Tony) March 31, 2015,<br/>✝️Beloved son Michael (Mickey) (December 7, 1989) New Zealand.<br/>✝️Beloved daughter in law Vicki Houghton (née Thomson)(February 12, 1997) in New Zealand.<br/>✝️Her beautiful granddaughter Ashley (October 9,1987). <br/>✝️Her parents Michael(June 23, 1990) and Gabriella (née Károlyi) (November 30,1992) Andrássy de Csikszentkirály et Krasznahorka. <br/>✝️Sister Ilona (August 26, 2016) and (Lászlo August 23, 2016) Berényi, Calgary.<br/>✝️Sister Gabriella (Elly) February 2, 2020 and ( Jules July 8, 2019) Zilahi-Balogh, Vancouver,<br/>✝️Brother Gyula (June 4, 2018) and Lesley Andrássy (Andrássy de Csikszentkirály et Krasznahorka),Montreal.<br/><br/>Beloved and cherished Mother to Marie, Peter and Carlos(beloved daughter in law Vanessa).<br/>Cherished and loved Nana to Shannon, Amy (and their beloved Mother Andrea); Antony(Toni), Nicola(Rob), Michael, Roland and their Father Mark ( New Zealand).<br/>Great grandmother to Florencia (Flossy) and Hendrix ( New Zealand) and little one on her way in New Zealand and Maddox (Maddy) Canada.<br/>Aunt to George (Lindy), Ilona(Katie), Julia (Andrea), Gabriella (Riella), Paul(Annette), Monika(Sandy), Ilona (Paul), Michael(Annie), Pepi, Alex(Valerie)<br/>✝️Godmother to Alex (Shandor) Berenyi, Gabriella (Riella) Zilahi-Bolagh, Peggy O’Neill and Mary North <br/><br/>She loved and prayed for her family and friends in New Zealand:<br/>Elizabeth and late John Thomson(February 16, 2016), and their children Blair (family), Sean(family), Nicola & Mark(family) and Jackie(family).<br/>Roly Houghton and late Claire (May 1, 2014) and their children Gavin(family), Bronnie(family) and Pearl(family) <br/>Margret and Jeremy Ruane<br/>Dearly loved Maureen (Moe) as a daughter<br/><br/>St.Therese of Lisieux “Everything is a grace, everything is the direct effect of our father's love - difficulties, contradictions, humiliations, all the soul's miseries, her burdens, her needs - everything, because through them, she learns humility, realizes her weakness”.<br/><br/>Due to a covid-19 there will be no funeral Mass. Interment with Immediate family only will take place at Windsor Memorial Gardens. A memorial Mass will take place at a later date.<br/>Donations may be made to Windsor Essex County Right to Life Association, Birthright of Greater Windsor, Our Lady of Guadalupe Home of Windsor, or The Downtown Mission of Windsor.<br/><br/>Jesus I Trust in You<br/>Jesus, Mary and Joseph I love you save souls<br/><br/>
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has instituted the following directive: “The new maximum number of people who can be at a funeral home at one time (not including staff) is 10 or fewer. This pertains to the entire funeral home.”
