In my eyes Uncle Jim was always a warm, loving and happy to be around Uncle. My favourite memories are the years at the cottage. I always felt welcomed and loved being with my Uncle and his family - Aunt Marie, cousin Lori and Lynn. I enjoyed sitting with my Uncle and having conversations about things in my life - he would always want to know what was going on in my life. I did not fully appreciate our talks growing up but it means a lot to me now and I realized how much he cared about me and everyone that was part of his life. Uncle Jim taught me: * that ketchup goes good on any food * not to be afraid of hard work * how important family is and to have them part of your life * to love the beauty of nature (every time I hear the calling of a loon I think of Uncle Jim) * about the game of baseball (sorry Uncle Jim still find the game terribly boring) * how to catch and release sun fish (good thing Lynn was around to put the worms on my hook) * how to water ski and how to fall gracefully I miss him very much but I feel so fortunate that he was part of my life. Love Maria
