Joan and Family...Words simply cannot express my deep sorrow after reading of Mr. Mallender's passing. I was so very fortunate to work for him as part of the secretarial staff at Walkerville Collegiate. If he was free, I would have my 'break' in his office and I fondly remember his keen sense of humour and how easily he could make me laugh. Not being much of a cook, it was there that he first shared his spaghetti sauce recipe with me...and many years later after his retirement, he and you, Joan, invited Zilda, Mrs. Patrick, Glenna and myself for dinner at your home in Colchester where the bill of fare was, indeed, spaghetti! Joan, my sincere condolences to you and your entire family.
