What a great Lady! When my mom Theresa died in childbirth in '63 Aunt Ginny would come and pick me up every Friday night to spend the weekend with her and Uncle Jim. Sharon was in college for nursing then and wasn't home. I would load up my monopoly game and barbie dolls and Aunt Ginny would say, "Why are you bringing so much stuff?" I'd replly, "If I leave it all here my brother's and sisters will wreck everything!"(there were 9 of them) I followed Aunt Ginny around like a happy puppy dog. We would do housecleaning, crochet and sewing, cooking and canning, gardening and home decorating like painting and rearranging things. We would walk to the corner for a paper each night(she said it was her retirement walk) and go and visit Mr. & Mrs Hood. She taught me about enjoying your home and neighbors. She taught me how to enjoy time with your crafts. I credtit my loving my home and garden and being involved with my horticultural society to her.I credit my girls starting LeeLee Hats volunteer group to her. I credit my being a good neighbor to her. I credit my having so many wonderful memories of my dear mother to all the stories she told me, keeping my mother's memory alive in me.I think she knew that I was drowning in sorrow when my mom died and taking me to her house all those weekends rescued me. I admire and thank her from the bottom of my heart. ps That was a great party you threw for her last year Sharon. She was so happy to see everyone. Rest in Peace dear Aunt Ginny. I know you will be busy up there !
