Obituary of Robert Graham Riley

RILEY, Robert (Bob) Graham Born in Toronto on September 19, 1951 passed away August 18, 2010 in Windsor, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cherished husband of Ginetta (Gina) Lori Riley with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Loving father of Jessica Lori Riley. Dearest brother of Audrey Ruth Riley of Toronto. Son of the late John Richard Riley and Dorothy Elaine Riley (nee Greenwood). Deeply loved by his parents-in-law Italo and Teresa Lori of Windsor. Will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bob recently retired with over 32 years of service with the Corporation of the City of Windsor, Planning Department. Bob was a Registered Professional Planner (R.P.P.) and a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (M.C.I.P.). He was past president of the Civic Association of Non-Union Employees and assisted in many Planning Advisory Committee meetings. Bob was a member of the Roseland Curling Club, the Eagles Golf League at Seven Lakes, a founding member and dedicated volunteer of Gina Lori Riley Dance Enterprises and Shaanti International Museum of Costumes and Dolls, past member of Friends of the Court, and was awarded the Mayor of Windsor Arts Award for Volunteerism. A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Bob loved travelling to new places, golfing, curling, sudoku puzzles, television trivia and philatelia. Bob had an easy going manner that people loved, was a gifted public speaker, and above all, he was a gentleman. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, (MAIN CHAPEL), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
