Obituary of Robert Douglas Lennie

LENNIE, ROBERT DOUGLAS "BOB" 63 years, peacefully on April 16, 2010 with his family by his side. Loving Husband of Anna Marie (nee Ducharme) for 31 years. Cherished Father of David and Brian. Beloved Son of Mary and Peter (2001) and brother to Patricia Hawdon and husband Victor. Loving brother-in-law to Edward Ducharme, Patrica and Larry Loebach and Mary Lou and Michael Daniel. Bob is also survived by his nephews Matthew, Andrew, Christopher, Alex and Adam and his nieces Nicole, Keri Ann, Jennifer, Erin, Lauren and Andrea. Bob was a high school teacher at W.F. Herman for over 30 years and active in the local high school sports community as both a coach and convenor, in particular with W.E.C.S.S.A.A. Basketball. He was also an avid supporter of McMaster University, his alma mater, and McMaster Maurader Athletics. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Road East (519-253-7234) on Tuesday April 20, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. Parish prayers Tuesday at 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church ( 834 Raymo Road ) on Wednesday April 21, 2010 from 10:00 AM until time of Bob's funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or the Canadian Cancer Society.
