I attended Herman 1974-1979, and to this day, I remember "Mr. Lennie" and the way he brought "U.S. History" and "People and Politics" to life. Because of him, I still know how the U.S. electoral system works, what Watergate was all about, and everything there is to know about the Civil War. But, Mr. L. instilled much more than knowledge. He was dynamic and passionate about what he was teaching, and I can honestly say that it was because of this passion that I became a teacher, majoring in History and English. I have taught at Herman for many years now, and I can only hope that I am half the teacher Mr. Lennie was. His spirit and dedication to the teaching profession and his students will continue to live on. Thank- you Mr. Lennie. I never have, and never will forget you.
