Ed Wilkinson was my grade 9 math teacher at Riverside High School when I started in 1961 and belongs to that special group of teachers who had a lasting positive influence on me. I was privileged to meet with him on 3 occasions since that time even though living thousands of miles apart. My condolences to the family of this great man. We were sad to hear about the sudden death of Ed. He was a very kind and caring gentleman. I taught with Ed and Connie at Riverside and Bob golfed with Ed at Kingsville for several years. The last time we saw Ed, we shared a table at Spagos on Erie Street, one of his favourite haunts. Ed will be missed by many! Bob and Ann Scott

Mr. Wilkinson was a great teacher at Riverside High School in the 1960s. Thanks to him, I learned to type and have used this skill all my life, first with a typewriter, then with a computer. He was a gentleman with a sense of humour that students appreciated. Everyone loved to be in his class. Sharman Henry

Maurice and I have had the pleasure to be neighbors of Ed and Connie for the last five years when we moved to the neighborhood. Ed was a well read man . .....my husband and I loved to sit with him in the summer months and chat. As we are away we will not be able to attend the service but we will always cherish getting to know this brilliant..kind.gentle friend and caring spouse to his wife Connie. Our prayers are with all Ed's family and friends at this most difficult and trying time. Deepest sympathy Sharon and Maurice Howles

I worked with Ed for a few years and met him and Connie many Friday evenings at Kingsville GCC. after I left for Toronto. Ed was a consummate gentleman and was well respected by his peers. You will be missed. Fred James, Oakville, ON.

Rene and I are extremely saddened to learn about this sudden turn of events and the passing of a wobderful neighbour. Ed was a kind, caring and most gracious gentleman. He was always so warm and welcoming greeting you with a smile that hid the physical pain he endured and the emotional loss of his dear wife Connie. A man of strong faith we know that he is rejoicing in his reuion with the love of his life. Rest peacefully Ed. We will miss you.

Ed was a friend to us since the days of teaching at RSS, in 1961, with my husband. Since the passing of our spouses our friendship has continued. I was extremely shocked and saddened by the news of his sudden passing. May he rest in peace, finally out of pain, and join Connie, in life hereafter. We were so sad to learn of Ed's passing. Unfortunately, we are in Florida at present and will be unable to attend Ed's funeral. Ed was my hockey coach at the old Riverside High School, and a fellow teacher at the new RHS for many years. He was also a good friend, a golf partner (better than me!) and neighbour.
