Obituary of Bernard Warren

WARREN, Bernard " BERNIE " Peacefully at the age of 83 years on April 26, 2009 at Windsor Regional Hospital - Windsor Western Continuing Complex Care. Loving husband of Lois ( nee Grant ) sharing 48 years of marriage. Beloved dad to Donald Warren and Margaret Warren. Cherished grandpa of Dawn Warren. Dear brother of Margaret Emberton of Toronto, and her late husband Leonard; Joyce Lewis of Guelph, and her late husband Rev. Charles Lewis; the late Robert and his late wife Fleda; the late Russell, the late Louis and his late wife Nancy, and the late Rev. Douglas Warren. Dear brother-in-law of Evangeline Warren and and Alice Warren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Bernie was retired following many years of service at Chrysler Canada, had served with The Royal Canadian Navy in WWll, was active in Scouting for nearly 45 years, was an avid golfer and participated in the Canadian Salt Golf League at Dominion Golf Course, and was very involved in the congregations of both Trinity and Emmanuel United Churches. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Tuesday April 28, 2009 from 7-9 pm, and on Wednesday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. A Veteran's Memorial Service presented under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Committee will take place on Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service Thursday April 30, 2009 at 10:30 am in the chapel. Linda Blair officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
