Dear Aunt Lois, Donald and Margaret, I was very sorry to receive Donald's voice message on Sunday about Uncle Bernie's passing away. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know. Living so far away, it's very hard at a time like this to be far away from family. Please know that I'm thinking of you all, and wishing you as much peace and grace during this difficult time. It was really nice to be able to speak with you briefly, Lois the other night. Having gone through this with my own father, I am wishing you all strength and courage to get through these next few "public" days. I hope you'll have time with just yourselves to celebrate Uncle Bernie's wonderful life very soon. I have such fond memories of visiting you all in Windsor and enjoying the old backyard pool together. Uncle Bernie was always so very kind and fun to be around (as I recall) growing up. He will be very missed by all of us who had the great priviledge of calling him family. Sending you my best thoughts and love during this time of sadness. Again, I'm sorry that I can't be there in person to support you. Thinking of you from Edmonton, love Marjorie
