Obituary of Stana Loncar

LONCAR, Stana “Our Angel” passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2024, at the age of 95. She was married to the late Michael Loncar for 49 years and shared 2 daughters: Anne (Milos) Saravolatz and Melissa (late Tim) Filipic. Proud and loving Baba to Dushanka (Vojo) Bojicic, Sam (Liz) Saravolatz, the late Annie Saravolatz, Jovan (Victoria) Filipic, and Michael (Ashley) Filipic. Dear Baka to great-grandchildren, Seja and Shane Johnson, Zorka and Milutin Bojicic, and great-great-grandson Milos. She was a precious Kuma to Daniella, Lisa, Sonia, Mimi, and Mark Vorkapich. Stana had an amazing smile that dazzled anyone who met her. Her strong will kept her family close, while her incredible cooking and baking kept everyone visiting often. She cherished her Serbian Orthodox faith by being an active member of the church choir, president of woman’s group K.S.S., and Honorary Church member. Her multiple projects kept her active in the church for many years. She believed in helping those in need, always being very generous with her time and energy. At 95 years of age, Stana lived in her beautiful home aided by many dedicated PSW’s from Bayshore Homecare Solutions, until recently, when she found a new family at Huron Lodge Continuing Care Home. There, she was well cared for and loved by the wonderful staff. Arrangement entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7234) Visitation will be on Thursday December 5th, 2024 at the Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church Gracanica, between 10 and 11 a.m. followed by a liturgical service, officiated by Rev. Father Milorad Delic and Rev. Father Brian Payne. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to the Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church Gracanica.
