Obituary of Janice Zuliani (Mateciuk)

Peacefully at Hospice Windsor, surrounded by family, on November 21, 2024, at the age of 71. Beloved sister of Alan (1999), Donna Legault, Joanne (John) Collins, and Carol Hebert. Loving aunt to Jason (Amber), Melissa, Andrew, Curtis (Sarah), Mitchell, Matthew, Bradley, Rachel, and their families. Predeceased by parents Orel (2008) and Viola (2018). Loving Great Aunt to Alex, Makayla, Jay and Danny. We will miss your laughs, fancy cakes and campfire fun Aunt Janice! Special friend to Leigh-Ann, Michelle and Allan, Dr. John, Dr. Dean and countless others. Janice’s strong personality and generosity made an impression on everyone she met. A devoted caretaker to many dogs and cats over the years, she leaves behind her special feline friend, Minnie. Janice was a dedicated Registered Nurse for 50 years, spending many years in the emergency department at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, and later at Grand Marais Urgent Care Clinic after retiring from full time work.

As per Janice’s request, there will be no funeral services, and a celebration of life will be held in the spring. Sincere thanks to the ICU staff at WRH and the Hospice Windsor team for their wonderful care.
