Dear Laura, Brian, Chris and families, Our sincerest sympathy on the loss of both your parents in such a short time. May you take comfort in knowing they are together, watching over you and with your brother Kenneth. I treasure the bond our parents and their friends had while we were growing up. I have many fond memories of your parents when our families would get together on trips to Florida, birthdays, pool parties and weddings. Chris, Brian, Laura and Families We are saddened to hear of the passing of your mother/grandmother as you are grieving the passing of your father/grandfather. Your mom was extremely helpful to my mom when school letters came home and my mom didn't read English at that time. Your dad took my dad to the ER one evening when my brother and I were too young to be left along. He came home once my dad was admitted and said that my dad was going to be ok. He informed her that he and you mom were always there if needed. We have many fond memories of all you from the Parkview Avenue days. In our thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time. I have fond memories of the staff of St Gregory’s, but the duo of Mr Iatonna (principal) and Mrs Hancock were one of my favourites. Plain and simple, from a child’s perspective and what my memory recalls 40 years later, was that she was kind, plain and simple. Genuine, non judgmental and just a constant, positive presence. I have wondered about her over the years…I’m sure she had a story or two to tell about our large family!!! It sounds like she made a beautiful impact on others, both within the school system and out. Sending prayers and love to all…

William Kachmaryk Extends His Condolences to the Family and Friends on the passing of a “Beautiful Couple”, Anne and Don Hancock who come to mind recalling Our St Cyril & Methodius Slovak Church softball days. I penned a tribute to Don and the realities of love that continue to grow in a marriage consumed by the years past and in an involuntary final separation. Apparently, the “Essence of Eternal Love” forms an unbreakable bond in their marital invocation and relationship within their Family Unit in being together “Until Death Do Them Part”. My Tribute to Don preceded this one dedicated to Anne. There are ways of rationalizing the occurrence of death which, myself, @ 88 years summons us all. But as the saying goes “Love is manifest in Life as a belief that creates the desired outcome focusing on intent that makes it happen using positive affirmations and visualizations that instills ”Love Conquers Us All”. Appropriately set, the “Essence of Love” is the theme portrayed in Wagner’s, Tristan and Isolde, is the essence of an Irish love story between the two. The theme is called “Liebestod”.....from German depicted as “Love Death”, meaning the couple consummated their love in death or after death in one followed by the other. “God Bless Them Bot”. resting in peace, and the Ukrainian “Vichnayia Pamyiat” (Eternal Memory) is aptly suited to Anne and Don’s beautiful life together.
