Passed away on September 8, 2024 at St Joseph Hospital Toronto ON with family by her side. Loving wife of Jeff Boughner. Loving daughter of Hanina Khalof and her late husband Michel Akel (1986). Loving sister of Sameer Akel, Fr. Peter (Edmund) (Nabiha "Nina" Hayek) Ackle, and Edward (Laura Haley) Akel. Dear daughter-in-law of James and Karen Boughner. Dear Sister-in-law of Brad (Kristi) Boughner. Loving aunt of Alma, Mirell, Emily, Janette, Ileny, Jordyn and Lily. She will be greatly missed by Uncles, Aunts, cousins, family and all her loving friends. Sozan was dedicated in helping others through volunteering to where it led to her work for the Welcome Center for Women and Family which she loved lending a hand as her role as Community Engagement helping in any way she could. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL-Banwell Chapel 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519)253-7235 on Thursday September 12, 2024 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Thursday at 7:30pm. Funeral services on Friday September 13, 2024 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church 1808 LaBelle Street Windsor ON.at 11:00am. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens.
