Obituary of Mary Louise Hossack

HOSSACK, Mary Lou (nee Kavanagh) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on July 15, 2024, at Windsor Regional Hospital - Metropolitan Campus at the age of 87 years. Reunited with her beloved husband, Merlin “Ted” Hossack (2010). Loving mother to Mary Christine and husband Todd of Windsor; Timothy and wife Renee of Windsor; Terry and wife Elizabeth of Palm Beach, Florida; Daniel and wife Kim of Detroit; Scott (2019); Robert "Casey" (2001); and Gloria Perozzi-Nantau. Cherished grandmother to Michelle, Matthew, Marisa, Keenan, Paige, Jaden, Owen, Olivia, Jacob, Sarah, Harper, Brooklyn and great-grandmother of Madeline, Joseph, Grace, Emma, Callyn, Casey and Ryan. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mom, Mary Lou, Lou Lou, or Hoss, whatever you called her, was always willing to learn everything about you. She was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Windsor where she learned to play the piano and sing like an Angel. Whether it was on a hockey bus, or visiting friends and family she was always entertaining. When mom was done having children she would substitute teach at St. Annes high school from time to time. Her main goal was to learn everything about her students and who they were related to. She loved each and every one of her children and would have no problem bragging about their accomplishments in life. Her and “Teddy Bear” took to boating and would spend countless vacations on the waters of Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron . They were always proud of the life they had created and loved sharing it with their family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - CENTRAL CHAPEL (519-253-7234, 1700 TECUMSEH RD. E). Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 19, 2024, at St. Mary’s Church (Maidstone) (12048 County Rd. 34) from 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Maidstone) In kindness, donations in memory of Mary Lou may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor.
