We were very sad to hear about Joe’s passing. It wasn’t too long ago that we spoke and he was asking about my mom Betty. We have one particular fond memory of Joe and Donna. The day we were married July 1982, we had to catch a flight to Europe in Detroit. Joe and Donna were kind enough to take us there and let us leave our Volkswagen bug there till we arrived home a month later at which time they also picked us up. They invited us to their place for a meal of smokies, potatoes and sauerkraut. It was so simple and delicious. Every time we eat that, we’ll think of Joe. We’ll never forget their kindness and hospitality. Joe was a treasure and will be missed. Our heartfelt condolences to the family.
