I met Locketa because she was a shining light in the life of my cousin, Dan, as she helped him with his journey with schizophrenia....he was always happy to see "Nurse Grey" when she came to support Iris House and she was a person that we all smiled when we saw her....

The the family of Locketa:
My name is Pat Thorpe and I was the nurse at the YMCA Heartcare Windsor. I met Locketa there and we became instant friends. Our birthdays were both in December and she never forgot my birthday and I tried to always remember hers as well. Sometimes a bunch of ladies would go out for lunch and we celebrated a few birthdays together.. Locketa was also a nurse so we shared many stories together. I also knew Leon her husband as he worked at Windsor Regional Hospital Psych and I worked ER. Locketa was such a special lady and I will never forget her. I called her in the nursing home but she was weak at that point and did not talk too long. I know she is safe with Jesus now. May God be with you all as you grieve the loss of such a great lady.

My deepest condolences to you, Leroy. Both of your parents were such good friends to our parents. Your mother was a bright light - not just profoundly good at her professional work, but also wise, witty, and one of the most genuinely kind people I have ever known. She will be missed.

Leroy, your father and Calvin (my husband) go way back to their work life in Jamaica. When I met your mother here in Canada we just clicked. It was like we'd known each other for years. She was a beautiful soul and we will miss her dearly. May she rest in Jesus.

The Toney Family would like to extend condolences to the Gray/Cousins Family. Unfortunately, we didn't have the privilege of knowing her personally but felt like we did because of the many times we heard her name mentioned by members, and on the early morning prayer line. May the Lord comfort the family with His presence during this most difficult season of your life. Keeping the family in prayer.
